Its pitchers also combine traits from both parents—the shape is similar to ampullariana 'Black Miracle', but adult pitchers are generally larger. As a hybrid of two lowland species, it is sensitive to cold and thrives in heat, growing rapidly during summer with approximately one new leaf every two weeks under suitable conditions. During winter, it is recommended to maintain temperatures above 18°C; below this threshold the plant's condition will deteriorate, and there is a risk of death below 15°C. Additionally, Nepenthes have modest light requirements and are best grown in bright indirect natural light (e.g., near windows but away from direct sun) or under grow lights.
